A SETTLE

This is the product. Two people write down what they think will happen, how sure they are, and the date reality answers. On that date it publishes a permanent public Receipt — whether you win or not.

    You write yours, they write theirs

    You state your position and your confidence, then send a link. The other person states theirs in their own words rather than being handed the opposite of yours — half of every argument is about what was actually claimed.

  2. 02

    The date is the commitment

    Pick when it can be checked. That date is what makes this different from arguing: there is a moment, agreed in advance, when one of you is demonstrably wrong.

  3. 03

    The Receipt publishes itself

    Nobody has to remember, and nobody gets to quietly drop it. On the day, both of you are asked to resolve it, and the Receipt goes up with both statements, both numbers, and the outcome. It stays up.

    No account, on either side

    The second person did not choose this product, they were sent a link. Making them sign up to answer a friend would kill the thing at its narrowest point, so nothing here needs an account, ever.
